Thomas Morris Dies
Thomas Perry Morris, thought to be about 75, died yesterday afternoon at Holy Family hospital of complications of old age. Mr. Morris had lived in Estherville much of his life but for the past four years had lived at the Emmet County Farm. He was unmarried. Survivors include a brother Sherman of Minneapolis and a brother John of Sioux Falls. Funeral arrangements will be announced Monday. The body is at the Sandin-Fuhrman Funeral Home. Morris Rites Tuesday
Funeral arrangements have been completed for Thomas Morris. The Morris funeral will be Tuesday, 2 p.m. at the Sandin-Fuhrman funeral home, the Rev. Harrison G. Dawes will officiate. Interment will be in Eastside cemetery. Mr. Morris, 73, was born March 31, 1883 [per WWI draft record, March 31, 1883] and passed away Friday at Holy Family hospital. Cause of death was listed as complications of old age. Morris, unmarried, is survived by two brothers; Sherman of Minneapolis and John O., of Sioux Falls and several nieces and nephews. Perry Morris, 77, Dies of Long Illness
Perry Morris, 77, of Estherville, former well known Emmetsburg resident, died Friday following a long illness. Mr. Morris was a retired farmer, moving to Estherville many years ago. He never married. Survivors include two brothers, John Morris of Sioux Falls and Sherman Morris of Minneapolis and many nieces and nephews. He was a brother of the late Frank Morris of Emmetsburg.

Mrs. Fred Evans, accompanied by her uncle, John Morris of Sioux Falls, S.D., drove to Estherville Tuesday to attend the funeral services which were held at the Sanden Funeral home. Burial was in East Lawn cemetery. (Democrat, Emmetsburg, IA, June 28, 1956)
