IOWA LAKE
(TOO LATE FOR LAST WEEK)
We had just mailed our letter last week, when the sad news reached us of the death of Lena Mclean. She was buried Tuesday in the Armstrong cemetery. The pall-bearers were six young ladies, Lena Ports, Myrl Barnett, Mary Dowden, Miss Colman, Rissie Follett and Pearl Fuller. It is a sad blow to her parents. She was the oldest daughter, just reaching the age to be a companion for her mother and a very lovable, industrious girl. They have our heartfelt sympathy. Rev. Harwood preached a very consoling sermon at the house at 1 o'clock.Source: The Northern Vindicator, Estherville, Emmet County, Iowa; May 15, 1902.
