Keogh Rites at 10 a.m. on Tuesday
Funeral services for Richard Joseph Keogh, 42, will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, the Rt. Rev. Msgr. James H. Duhigg officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s cemetery.

Pallbearers are to be Jesse Fretag, Robert Goldstand, Charles Carlson, Glen Morgan, Donald Davis and Lawrence Anderson, all of Minneapolis.

Friends may call at Fuhrman Funeral Home until time of the services.

Keogh was killed Thursday, Dec. 24 about 11 a.m. in a one-car accident. His wife and 13-year-old son, Scott, were riding with him, Mrs. Keogh is hospitalized at Wichita with serious injuries, including 18 broken bones, seven of the breaks reported to be in one arm. Scott was uninjured and is with relatives here.

The family was en route from their home in Cedar Rapids to Phoenix, Ariz., to spend the holidays with his brother, Robert and family, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cletus Keogh, who had gone to Phoenix several days earlier.

Richard Joseph Keogh was born Oct. 1, 1922 in Estherville, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Cletus Keogh. He received his elementary schooling here and after the Keogh family moved to Minneapolis, he attended and graduated from De La Salle High School there.

He was married Oct. 28, 1949, to Patricia Lucille Dahl in Minneapolis. Since their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Keogh had made their home in Grand Forks, N.D.; Minneapolis, Minn.; Wausau, Wis.; Sioux City and Cedar Rapids where he had been employed as assistant manager of Sears Roebuck & Co.
