Josephine Fank Dies
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick’s Church for Josephine Elizabeth Fank, 74, Estherville, who died about 4:25 a.m. today at Holy Family Hospital.Death was attributed to complications of advanced age. She had been ill for the past five years and was hospitalized in March.
Miss Fank was born July 14, 1889 at Chimpagh, Luxemborg, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Fank.
She received her education in Webster City and Emmet county schools. She came to America in 1893 with her parents and they settled at Webster City.
In March of 1900 she moved with her parents to Emmet county where they farmed until 1920 when they moved to Estherville.
She was a member of Altar and Rosary Society and Catholic Daughters of America. She was a member of St. Patrick’s church.
She is survived by nieces and nephews and was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and six sisters.
Rosary is to be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Reese Funeral Home. Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick’s Church, Msgr. James Duhigg officiating and burial is to be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Reese Funeral home from 9 a.m. Thursday until 9 a.m. Friday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 5, 1964)
