Robert S. McManness Dies at 32
Robert Samuel McManness, 32, a patient at the Holy Family Hospital since last Saturday, died at 10 o’clock last night. Death was contributed to a heart condition that he had had since birth.

Mr. McManness was born April 18, 1930 in Estherville, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John McManness. For 21 years he had been a patient at the Woodward State Hospital and School at Woodward. For the past year he lived at the Lauritsen Nursing Home in Estherville.

Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Arthur Lauritsen of Estherville, Mrs. Richard Harmon, Sioux City; Mrs. Robert Bennis, Sioux Falls; and Mrs. E. W. Tostenrud of Royal, and two brothers, Olaf McManness of Dolliver and John of Estherville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one twin brother.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Calvary Baptist Church. The Rev. Denzil Neumann will officiate with burial to be in the East Side Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Sternborg-Reese Funeral Home beginning Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Thursday at which time the body will be taken to the church to lie in state until time of services.
