Estherville – Funeral services for Mrs. Nora Landmesser, 95, Estherville, will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Grendler officiating and burial in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Landmesser was born Sept. 28, 1879, at DeWitt to Mr. and Mrs. David [Anna Leathen] [Hartnett] and received her education in DeWitt and Gilmore City. She was married to George Landmesser Dec. 18, 1903 at Gilmore City and they farmed in Dickinson County from 1917 until 1940. They moved to Estherville in 1940.

She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, the Altar and Rosary Society and Holy Family Auxiliary.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Mildred) Fairst [Faisst, Estherville; and Mrs. Derald (Berniece) Thompson, Spirit Lake; and two sons, Merl, Estherville and Vernon, Sioux City; eight grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, four brothers and one sister.

Friends may call at Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville, anytime Sunday. A rosary will be said at the funeral home 8 p.m. Sunday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 21, 1975)
