Estherville – Funeral services for Mrs. Orval (Catherine) Clark, 51, Estherville, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with the Rev. A.O. Grendler officiating and burial at the church cemetery. She passed away Sunday [February 23, 1975] morning at Holy Family Hospital.Mrs. Clark was born Dec. 1, 1923 in Story City to George and Grace Hester Raymer. Mrs. Clark’s parents died when she was 14 months old and she was raised by her grandparents, John and Catherine Hester. She graduated from Graettinger schools in 1942 and worked as a bookkeeper for a packing plant. She was married to Orval Clark Aug. 31, 1946 at Estherville and worked as a bookkeeper for their plumbing business.
She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society, Catholic Daughters of America and the Holy Family Hospital Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Orval, and two daughters, Mary and Martha, at home. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Friends may call at Henry Funeral Home, Estherville, where a Catholic Daughters rosary will be said at 4:30 p.m. today and the parish rosary at 8 p.m. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 24, 1975)
