Estherville – Services for Frank Haisman, 78, Estherville, will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Estherville with Father Albert Grendler officiating. Interment will be in the St. Patrick’s Cemetery.Mr. Haisman died Tuesday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Estherville.
Friends may call at the Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville after 3 p.m. Thursday. Rosary for Mr. Haisman will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
The son of Frank and Mary Ann Haisman, he was born November 2, 1902 in Emmet County and received his education in the Dolliver schools. He was married to Veronica Guerdet on June 9, 1931 at Armstrong.
The couple farmed in Emmet County until retirement. Mr. Haisman was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Estherville.
He is survived by his wife, Veronica; three daughters, Mrs. Chester (Margaret) Herke, Estherville, Mrs. Rollin (Betty) Reardon, Terril and Mrs. Robert (Kathryn) Gray, Galatia, Ill.; three sons, Gerald Haisman, Waterloo, Richard Haisman, Terril and Kenneth Haisman, Estherville; 22 grandchildren; six brothers, John Haisman, Verndale, Minn., Harry Haisman, Wadena, Minn., Lawrence Haisman, Verndale, Minn., Ted Haisman, Gardenia, Calif., Bill Haisman, Buffalo Center and Don Haisman, Armstrong; and five sisters, Lillian Huffman, Bemidji, Minn., Irene Aaringer, Bluffton, Minn., Mary Webster, Dayton, Ohio and Dorothy Swan, Ames.
Mr. Haisman was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, June 17, 1981)
