Estherville – Frank Dobberstein, 87, Estherville, died Saturday [January 12, 1980] evening at Holy Family Hospital.

Services for Mr. Dobberstein will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Estherville, with interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Rosary will be said at Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville, at 7 o’clock tonight. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today until time of services.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. August Dobberstein, he was born Aug. 20, 1892, at Greene. He moved to the Estherville area with his family and received his education in area schools.

He was married to Mamie McCarthy in Estherville. The couple farmed in the Superior area.

Mr. Dobberstein is survived by one niece. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, three sisters and one brother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 14, 1980)
