Estherville – Services for Leo Domek, 78, Estherville, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Father Albert O. Grendler officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. He died Friday, Dec. 13, 1985 at Holy Family Hospital, Estherville.

Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville, was in charge of arrangements.

He was born Feb. 4, 1907 in Cylinder and received his education in the Cylinder and Whittemore schools. On May 3, 1938 he was united in marriage to Geneva McKinney in Emmetsburg. The couple moved to Estherville in 1948 where he was employed by Concrete Products for 25 years retiring in 1973. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Estherville, and an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus for 42 years.

Survivors include his wife, Geneva, Estherville; one son, Leo Domek, Estherville; one daughter, Mrs. Patrick (Mary Ruth) Colbert, Cedar, Minn.; five grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond and James of Emmetsburg; four sisters, Alice Huskamp, Marie Mugan, Emmetsburg, Eileen Bruhn, Spirit Lake, Ruth Dickey, Bradgate.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 16, 1985)
