Mildred Cox
Dunnell, Minn. – Mrs. Leo (Mildred) Cox, 79, Dunnell, died Wednesday [November 12, 1980] at Spencer Municipal Hospital.

Services for Mrs. Cox will be 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Estherville, with interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

A Rosary will be said at 7:30 o’clock tonight at the Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville. Friends may call at the funeral home until time of services.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Iseminger, she was born Dec. 18, 1900, at Denison and received her education in Denison and Spirit Lake Schools, graduating from Spirit Lake High School.

She was married to Leo Cox on Sept. 22, 1920, at Estherville and the couple farmed in the Estherville and Alpha, Minn., areas until retiring and moving into Dunnell.

Mrs. Cox is survived by her husband, Leo Cox, Dunnell; four daughters, Leona Anderson and Luella Johnson, both of Estherville, Beverly Wyatt, Ithica, N.Y., and Marlene Strampe, Warren, Mich.; four sons, Melvin Cox, Fairmont, Marvin Cox, Estherville, Daryl Cox, St. Paul, Minn., and Keith Cox, Mount Clemons, Mich.; 30 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Alga Klein and Mrs. Levi Larson, both of Estherville; and one brother, Ray Iseminger, Estherville.

She was preceded in death by one son, her parents, two brothers and two sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 14, 1980)
