Estherville – Services for R.J. (Pete) Bezdicek, 20, Estherville, were held Saturday morning at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Estherville with Father Albert O. Grendler officiating. Interment was in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Mr. Bezdicek was found dead in his trailer house at Green Acres Mobile Home Park, Estherville Thursday [May 1, 1980] evening.

Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Estherville, was in charge of arrangements.

The son of Joyce Bezdicek and Milton Bezdicek, he was born March 25, 1960, at Lakefield, Minn., and moved to Estherville with his family a short time later. He received his education in Estherville schools, graduating in 1978.

Mr. Bezdicek is survived by his mother, Joyce Bezdicek, Estherville; his father, Milton Bezdicek, Estherville; two brothers, Tom Bezdicek, Phoenix, Ariz., and William Bezdicek, Estherville; two sisters, Mrs. Linda Bezdicek Wirkkula and Mrs. Rebecca Kraninger, both of Minneapolis, Minn.; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Olive Bezdicek, Lakefield, Minn.; and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Jennie Feenstra, Sibley.

He was preceded in death by one brother and his grandfathers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 5, 1980)
