Services for Charles Henry Clabaugh, 78, Estherville, will be held Tuesday at the Henry and Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville with interment in East Side Cemetery. Pastor Michael Bennett of the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran church officiating. He died Saturday evening, July 9, 1983 at his home. Friends may call at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Monday.

Clabaugh was born Sept. 29, 1904 at Webster City, the son of Nickolas and Mary (Duckett) Clabaugh. he attended Webster City schools. On Dec. 20, 1924 he was united in marriage with Susie Claude at Clarion. He was employed for a time at Webster City then the couple moved to Emmet county and farmed in the Dolliver Area. Clabaugh retired in 1968 and moved into Estherville in 1980. Mrs Clabaugh died in 1954. He was a member of the Dolliver Methodist Church and a past governor of the Estherville Moose Lodge.

Survivors include five sons; Charles Jr. and Alton, Dolliver, Alvin and Donald, Estherville and Clifford of Lexington, Okla; three daughters; Mrs Leonard (Neomi) Linn, Viola Clabaugh and Mrs. Don (Jeanette) Syverson all of Estherville; 23 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one brother, Roy Clabaugh Sr., Estherville; three sisters; Mrs Bertha Ferrell and Mrs. Martha Baxter, Webster City and Mrs. Elma Mallow, Kirkland, Wash.

Clabaugh was preceded in death by his wife Susie, three brothers, one sister and one breat-grandson.
