Luvern Zufall Services Friday in Estherville
Estherville – Funeral services for Luvern Zufall, 68, who died Tuesday morning, Aug. 6, in his home in Estherville, will be held Friday.

The services will be at 2 p.m. in Union Baptist Church, with burial following in East Side Cemetery. Friends may call at Reese-Henry Funeral Home, after 9 a.m. Thursday.

Mr. Zufall was born Oct. 18, 1905 at Hubbard to Henry and Edith Ross Zufall. He was educated in Hubbard schools and was married on Oct. 6, 1951 to Myrtle Hoover in Sioux Falls, S.D. He lived in Armstrong and Estherville, where he worked at Hills packing Plant and later at John Morrell and Co. He was a member of the Moose lodge.

Surviving are his wife; his mother, Mrs. Edith Zufall; one son, Harry Zufall, Vista, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Eula Lewerke, Buffalo, Minn.; one stepson, Robert Doyle, Duncombe; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gerald Zufall, Mora, Minn., Alfred Zufall, Estherville, and three sisters, Mrs. Stella Kiester, Fairmont, Mrs. Beulah Bishop, Whigham, Ga., and Mrs. Marjorie Sanders, Magna, Utah. He was preceded in death by his father, one son, one brother and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 7, 1974)
