Mrs. Ronald Omundson (Elnora Mae Phillips) was born to Donald and Luverne Phillips on July 15, 1939 at Des Moines, Ia. She attended the first 3 years of her schooling in Des Moines. In 1948 at the age of eight she moved with her mother and a sister Margaret and a brother Fred to Estherville where she completed her education graduating from Estherville High School in 1958.

While attending high school Elnora worked at the Holy Family Hospital in Estherville for about 1 ½ years and continued to work there for about a year and a half after graduation.

She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith at the Estherville Lutheran Church.

On October 11, 1958, Elnora was united in marriage to Ronald B. Omundson of Estherville at the Estherville Lutheran Church living in Estherville till the fall of 1959 at which time they moved to a home they purchased in Ruthven changing their membership to the Zion Lutheran church in Ruthven. To this union a son was born on December 27, 1960 named Damon --.

Elnora passed away on March 16 at her home at 5:30 a.m. in Ruthven. She leaves to mourn her death her husband Ronald and 2 month old son Damon, her mother, Mrs. Lyle Skow, her father Donald Phillips of Canaga Park, Cal., brother Fred Phillips of Wallingford sister Margaret (Mrs. Richard Holsinger) of Des Moines, step sisters Vi Ann and Sheryl Skow and stepbrother, Marvin Skow of Wallingford, half brother Gregory and half sisters Patricia and Brenda Phillips of California.
