Rites Held for Carl Lundberg
Funeral services for Carl Lundberg, 61, long time farmer in the Graettinger community, who died April 12 at Holy Family hospital in Estherville following a long illness were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Union Baptist church in Graettinger. The Rev. Eugene Oleson conducted the rites.

Burial was in the East Side cemetery in Estherville with the Sternborg Funeral home in charge of arrangements. (Democrat, Emmetsburg, IA, April 17, 1958)

Funeral Held Wednesday for Elem Lundberg, 61
Funeral services were held Wednesday at Union Baptist church in Estherville, for Carl Elem Lundberg, 61, Graettinger farmer, who died early Saturday morning at Holy Family hospital following a lingering illness.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl H. Lundberg, he was born January 12, 1897 near Marathon. On Feb. 6, 1919, he was married to Gladys Grey, also of Marathon. The couple lived in Buena Vista county until 1948 when they purchased a farm north of Graettinger.

Survivors are his wife, Gladys; two sons, Alvin of Plano, Tex., Duane of Knoxville; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (LaVonne) Haburn, of Newell; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Eldon of Ayrshire and Ebner of Los Angeles, Calif.; and three sisters, Mrs. Clifford Anderson of Stellacoom, Wash., Mrs. Elmer Peterson of Linn Grove and Edith Lundberg of Los Angeles, Calif.

Mr. Lundberg was a member of the American Legion post in Graettinger.

The Rev. Eugene Olson officiated at the services at the Union Baptist church in Estherville. Burial was in East Side cemetery. (Graettinger Times, Graettinger, IA, April 17, 1958)
