Spirit Lake – Krista Lynn Lukins, 7, rural Spirit Lake, died Saturday, Oct. 1, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Rochester, Minn., of Reyes Syndrome.

Services for Miss Lukins will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Calvary Baptist Church, Estherville, with the Rev. John Coons officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery.

Friends may call at Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Estherville, until 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, when the body will be taken to the church to lie in state.

Miss Lukins was born April 21, 1970, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Lukins. She was in the second grade in Spirit Lake Community Schools and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her parents; one sister, Melisa Lukins; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John McManness, Estherville; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Lukins, Marcus; paternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Urban, Larabe, and George Lukins, Remsen; and maternal great-grandmother, Mrs. Myrtle Kleeg, Phonix City, Ala.
