Henry A. Loewenberg, 65, Dies at Rochester Hospital
Henry A. Loewnberg, 65, longtime Emmet County resident, died early today at the Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minn. Mr. Loewenberg had been in failing health due to a heart ailment for the past several months. He had been hospitalized at Holy Family Hospital on two different occasions since March 31 and was taken to Rochester last week for examination and medical care.Complete obituary and details as to funeral arrangements will be published in tomorrow’s Daily News.

Loewenberg Rites Friday
Funeral services for Henry August Loewenberg, 65, lifetime Emmet County resident, are to be Friday with a family service at 1:30 p.m. at the Sandin-Fuhrman Funeral Home to precede a 2 p.m. service for friends at the First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. James K. Lyon will officiate. Burial is to be in East Side cemetery.Mr. Loewenberg died yesterday at 6 a.m. at the Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minn. Death was attributed to a heart condition which Mr. Loewenberg incurred about six months ago. He had been hospitalized at Holy Family Hospital twice during that time and last week was taken to Rochester.
He was born April 9, 1895 at Ringsted, the son of George and Mary Loewenberg, and received his education in the Ringsted area schools.
On May 14, 1919, Henry A. Loewenberg and Frances Petersen were united in marriage at Ringsted and following their marriage the couple farmed in the Ringsted-Halfa area until 1948 when they moved to Estherville.
After moving here, Mr. Loewenberg began employment with the Hill Packing Company but for the past few years had been employed by John Morrell and Co., retiring from his work there on May 1, 1960.
Mr. Loewenberg was a member of First Presbyterian Church. His lodge affiliation was with the Loyal Order of Moose.
He is survived by his widow; five sons, Ervin L. of Ringsted, Arnold of Lawndale, Calif., Dennis, Melvin and James, all of Estherville; four daughters, Mrs. Lyle (Luverne) Skow, Estherville; Mrs. Stanley (Christina) Jensen, Ringsted; Mrs. Gilbert (Ardella) Burgess, Estherville; Mrs. Ralph (Rose Ella) Cronk of Armstrong; 32 grandchildren, three brothers, Albert of Armstrong, George of Fairmont, John of Long Beach, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. John Anderson of Estherville and Mrs. Elmer Gangsted of Brainerd, Minn.
Mr. Loewenberg was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
