Mrs. Laidig Was Native of Ringsted Area
Mrs. Frank Laidig, nee Cecilia Marie Bogh, was born near Ringsted on Sept. 10, 1882, the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bogh, and died at Holy Family hospital April 17. She had been hospitalized for two weeks.

She was married Aug. 6, 1902 to Frank Laidig. After their marriage the couple farmed in Emmet county until 1943 when they retired and moved to Estherville. Mr. Laidig preceded his wife in death on Nov. 30, 1953. Two infant children also preceded her in death.

She is survived by four sons. Paul of Wallingford; Virgil, Ernest and Arnold, all of Estherville; three daughters, Mrs. Edith Huntley of Dolliver, Mrs. Leona Enderson of Estherville and Mrs. Mildred Spellman of San Louis [Luis] Obispo, Calif.; 27 grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is also survived by two brothers, Morris Bogh of Portland, Ore., Robert Bogh of Jackson, Minn., three sisters, Mrs. Ellen Bosely of Morrel, O., Mrs. Katherine Olson of Estherville and Mrs. Christina Hanson of Estherville.

Funeral services were held Thursday, April 19 at the Presbyterian church, the Rev. Thomas G. Melton officiating. Burial was in Eastside cemetery. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 27, 1955)
