Roy D. Klein
Fenton – Roy D. Klein, 79, Fenton, died Sept. 5 at the Veterans Hospital, Des Moines. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church, Fenton, with the Rev. Gerald Armstrong officiating. The body has been donated for medical science and interment will be later in the East Side Cemetery. The Henry Funeral Home, Fenton, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Klein was born March 14, 1897 in Estherville to Peter and Barbara Bielharz Klein. He received his education in Estherville and was married to Alga Iseminger March 16, 1921 in Estherville. They farmed in the Estherville area until 1950 when they moved to Fenton. He continued to farm until his retirement in 1966. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Fenton and was a veteran of World War I.

Survivors include his widow, Alga, Fenton; one son, Wayne Klein, Armstrong; three daughters, Mrs. Betty Tippie, Fenton; Mrs. W.W. (Iola) Webber, Estherville; and Mrs. Michael (Sharon) Slavik, Ames; 16 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; four brothers, George Klein, North Dakota; Henry Klein and Otto Klein, Estherville; and Harry Klein, Washington; and two sisters, Mrs. Laura Cummins, Armstrong; and Mrs. Ethel Richard, Estherville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one grandson.
