Final Rites Wednesday
Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Anna Kinnard in the Reese Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Rev. L.A. Mathre officiating.Burial will be in the East Side Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from today until time of services Wednesday.
Pallbearers for the funeral will be Joseph and John Kinnard, John Hanson, Marvin Cooklin, Robert Thomsen, and Lawrence Thomsen.
Mrs. Anna Marie Kinnard, 83, died Monday [July 11, 1966] morning at the home of her son, Robert Kinnard in Estherville from infirmities of advanced age. She had been in failing health for the past three years.
Mrs. Kinnard was born Aug. 15, 1883, in Norway. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. John Harstad. She received her education in Norway and came to the United States with her brother when she was 16. They made their home at Petersburg, Minn.
Aug. 1, 1903, she was married to Tom Kinnard in Estherville and had made her home here since her marriage.
She was a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church and until recently had been active in the women’s organization of the church.
She is survived by three sons, Edward, William, and Robert all of Estherville and two daughters, Mrs. Lars (Ellen) Thomsen of Wallingford and Mrs. Ernest (Lillian) Hanson of Estherville; 27 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Her husband, parents, two daughters, one son, three grandchildren, and two brothers preceded her in death. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 12, 1966)
