ESTHERVILLE - Sister Mary Coronata Schels, 69, Estherville, died Sunday [February 11, 1979] at Holy Family Hospital, where she was in charge of laundry and housekeeping for more than 30 years.

Services for Sister Coronata will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Holy Family Hospital Chapel with Father Albert O. Grendler officiating. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Catholic Church Cemetery, Estherville.

The Legion of Mary Rosary will be said at 5 o'clock today and the Rosary will be said at 7:30 o'clock tonight in the Holy Family Hospital's Chapel.

Sister Coronata was born Aug. 7, 1909, in Ergdertshofen, Bavaria, Germany, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Simon Schels. She received her education in Eutenhosen, Baria, and came to the United States in 1933, going to the Sisters of the Sorrowful Mothers Mother House in Milwaukee, Wisc. After spending a few years in Oskosh, Wisc., she came to Estherville in 1945, where she was in charge of laundry and housekeeping at Holy Family Hospital until retiring in 1976.

Sister Coronata is survived by one brother, Johann Schels, Ergdertshofen, Bavaria, Germany.

She was preceeded in death by her parents and two brothers.
