Thomas Joseph Burdorf, the son of Wesley and Leona (Kirsh) Burdorf was born March 14, 1960, in Estherville, Iowa. In 1966 at the age of six, Thomas moved with his brother Charlie to the Woodward State School in Woodward, Iowa.

In 1991, Tom moved to Village Northwest Unlimited in Sheldon, Iowa. He was employed at Northwest Enterprises, where he enjoyed working.

In 2004, Tom moved to the Community Memorial Health Center in Hartley, Iowa, where he lived until the time of his death.

Tom was a fun loving person who had many friends. He loved going to Sunday School, socializing with friends and staff at Village Northwest, and working. In his free time, Tom enjoyed walking, picnics, and camping with Cathy. He made many friends throughout his life, but was especially close to his friend Jeanna Richter.

On December 15, 2006, Tom passed away at Baum Harmon Mercy Hospital [Primghar, Iowa] at the age of 46. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Leona Burdorf, and one brother, Charles (Charlie) Burdorf.

Left to cherish his memory are two brothers and their spouses: Ed (Dana) Burdorf, Frank (Linda) Burdorf; special friends, Gary and Jeanna Richter and their children Chance and Kari; the many people who loved and cared for him at Village Northwest Unlimited and Community Memorial Health Center; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

SERVICES
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, December 18, 2006, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Hartley, Iowa.
