EMMETSBURG - Maurice W. Boggess, Jr., 21, Emmetsburg, died May 26 at the American International, Zion, Ill., following a lingering illness.

Service for Mr. Boggess were held May 30 at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Emmetsburg, with interment in St. John's Cemetery, Martin-Bails Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. [Maurice Jr was brought to St. Patrick's later].

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice W. Boggess, Sr., he was bon Dec. 31, 1957, at Estherville. He was a graduate of Estherville High School and attended Iowa Lakes Community College.

Mr. Boggess is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Boggess Sr., Emmetsburg;six sisters, Mrs. Donald (Leslie) Umscheid, Kenosha, Wis., Mrs. Harlan (Christy) Hoganson, Pampa, Texas, Katy Boggess, Emmetsburg, Holly Boggess, Estherville, Mrs. Mark (Mary) Moorman, Estherville, and Margaret Boggess, Emmetsburg; and two brothers, James Boggess, Omaha, Neb., and Tom Boggess, Fort Hood Texas.
