John "Jack" Lawrence Jensen 1928-1994

John (Jack) Lawrence Jensen, the son of Carl I. and Anna Marie (Haubrich) Jensen was born July 27, 1928, in Pipestone, Minnesota and departed this life Saturday, December 31, 1994, at his home in Estherville, Iowa at the age of 66 years, 5 months, and 4 days.

He received his education in Pipestone and the Cathedral Catholic School in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Jack moved to Estherville in 1950. On July 4, 1951, he was united in marriage to Lois Ann LeClair at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Estherville. In January of 1960, he was employed by Stoller Fisheries, in Spirit Lake, Iowa, until his retirement in 1990. During the winter months, he continued to work part-time at Stoller’s and enjoyed gardening in the summer months. He enjoyed his family and watching his grandchildren’s sports activities.

He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Estherville.

Mr. Jensen is survived by his wife Lois Ann of Estherville; six sons, Father Ben Jensen of Dow City, Iowa; Bill Jensen and his wife, Merrie Jo of Estherville; Dan Jensen of Jackson, Minnesota; Mike Jensen and his wife, Barb of Livermore, Iowa; Tom Jensen of Estherville; Tim Jensen and his wife, Nancy of Estherville; and one daughter, Roseann Jensen and friend, Mike Aiken of Arvada, Colorado; ten grandchildren, Bill Jr.; Jodie; Mandi; Brandon; John; Jennifer; Nicole; Joel; Jeremy and Justin; five brothers and one sister, Don Jensen and his wife, Lois of Hesperia, California; Ruby Nelson and her husband, Lyle of Hesperia; Raymond Jensen and his wife, Beulah of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Joe Jensen of Brazil, Indiana; Roger Jensen and his wife, Diane of Council Bluffs; Robert Jensen and his wife, Janit of Estherville; Aunt, Beth Hudson and her husband, Rex of Pipestone, Minnesota; and many nieces and nephews. He has been preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Joshua Alexander and brother, Billy. (MC)
