Robert E. Fay, the son of Lafayette and Margaret (Reardon) Fay, was born October 7, 1917, in Rolfe, Iowa. He passed away Thursday, April 8, 2004, at his home in Wallingford, Iowa at the age of 86 years.

He attended school in the West Bend and Emmetsburg, Iowa, schools.

On January 24, 1943, Bob was united in marriage to Lorraine Kunert in Emmetsburg. Bob farmed all of his life in the Emmetsburg, Estherville and Wallingford, Iowa, areas.

Bob was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Estherville.

Left to cherish Bob’s memory are his wife, Lorraine of Wallingford; his children, Judy Kramer and her husband, Larry of Clear Lake, Iowa; Ronald Fay and his wife, Mary of Graettinger, Iowa; Theresa Linn and her husband, Bob of Wallingford; Sherry Salzman and her friend, Jerry Redenius of Welcome, Minnesota; Jerry Fay and his wife, Kris of Wallingford; Denise Leal and her husband, Paul of Estherville; fourteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Lorraine Fay of Estherville, Iowa; and Jane Hough of Emmetsburg.

Preceding him in death were his parents; four sisters; and five brothers. (MC)
