Chrisman, Ill. – Services for Kenneth Paul Baker, 75, formerly of Estherville, will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic church with Father Thomas Topf officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery with military graveside rites by the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He died Monday, Dec. 5, 1988 at the Veterans Hospital at Danville, Ill.

Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Home in Estherville after 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

He was born May 27, 1913 at Mason City, the son of Clarence and Fanchon (Finney) Baker. On May 3, 1947 he was united in marriage with Mary Origer at Estherville. They lived in Estherville a short time then moved to Omaha, Neb. She died in 1964 and he then moved to Chrisman, where he worked in a hardware store. He was a member of the Catholic Church and American Legion and a veteran of the Navy in World War Two, serving from 1941-1945.

Survivors include his father-in-law Joe Origer, Estherville; step-sister Helen Dunn, Largo, Fla.; step-brother Floyd Weatherly, Clinton, Ind.; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; parents and four brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December, 1988)
