Robert Jacobsen
Estherville – Robert O. Jacobsen, 28, rural Estherville, died Thursday morning at his farm home as the result of cancer.

Services for Mr. Jacobsen will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Bethel Lutheran Church, Graettinger, with the Rev. Paul Wiegman, Trinity Lutheran Church, Estherville, officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery, Estherville.

Friends may call at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Estherville, until noon Saturday, when the body will be taken to the church.

Mr. Jacobsen was born Oct. 4, 1948, at Emmetsburg, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jacobsen. He received his education in Graettinger schools, graduating from Graettinger High School and attending Iowa Lakes Community College for one year. He married Elaine Hansen, April 19, 1969, at Estherville.

Mr. Jacobsen is survived by his wife, Elaine; one daughter, Ann Jacobsen, 7, and one son, Jason Robert Jacobsen, 2, both at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jacobsen, Graettinger; one brother, Ken Jacobsen, Columbia, Mo.; one sister, Mrs. Lonnie (Rhonda) Smith, New Providence; and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Robert McDonald.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather and paternal grandparents. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, June 3, 1977)
