Estherville – Services for John “Larry” Tindall, 53, of Estherville, will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Father Tom Nash officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. He died Wed. Aug. 5, 1998, at Holy Family Health Services.

Visitation will be from 9-10:30 a.m. Monday at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home.

He was born March 2, 1945 in Estherville, the son of Raymond and Mary (Murphy) Tindall. He received his education in the Graettinger schools, graduating from Graettinger High School. He lived most of his life in Graettinger. On April 24, 1976, he married Barbara Roe in Graettinger. The couple moved to Estherville in 1981. He worked for area farmers, Arts-Way Mfg. in Armstrong, operated a variety store in Graettinger, and was employed by Estherville Daily News and Des Moines Register several years.

He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Estherville and the Knights of Columbus, and the Iowa National Guard during the Vietnam era.

He is survived by his wife, Barb of Estherville; sons: Raymond, Bruce and Kyle of Estherville; brother Francis of Sioux Falls, S.D., sisters Theresa Brinkman, Colo., Mary Jean Schiltz, Sisseton, S.D. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA,, August, 1998)
