Estherville – Services for Gertrude Scott, 82, will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Father Albert O. Grendler officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. She died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 1985 at the Milford Nursing Center.

Friends may call at the Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville after 3 p.m. Sunday. Rosaray will be prayed at the funeral home at 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

Gertrude Hanora Fisher was born Sept. 8, 1902 in Brewster, Minn., the daughter of Anton and Mary Healy Fisher. She moved with her family to Estherville at an early age and received her education in the Estherville schools. She has lived in the Estherville and Spirit Lake area and was a resident of the Milford Nursing Center since 1977. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.

She is survived by five daughters: Mrs. Vernon (Irene) Werts, Colorado Springs, Colo., Mrs. Viola Capener, Fargo, N.D., Mrs. Paul (Shirley) Crosby, Mrs. Herald (Mary) Haugland, Spirit Lake; Mrs. Harlan (Kay) Schumacher, Milford; three sons: Robert Young, Fargo, C. W. (Bill) Scott, Estherville and Vern Scott, Spirit Lake; 32 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by three daughters: Helen, Bonnie and Grace; her parents; one sisters and one brother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 23, 1985)
