Estherville – Jose Antonio Rodriguez, 26, Estherville, was killed Saturday, March 25, in a car accident near Jackson, Minn.

Funeral services for Mr. Rodriguez will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, at the Henry and Olson Funeral Chapel, Estherville, with Father Dennis Schimek officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery.

He was born May 2, 1951, to Rito and Celia (Alvarez) Rodriguez in Saltillo, Mexico. He received his education in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico and graduated from high school there, moving to Estherville in 1974. Since moving to Estherville he has worked for Butterfield Foods, Butterfield, Minn.

His survivors include a son, Jose Rodriquez, Estherville; one daughter, Laura Rodriquez, Estherville; his parents, Nuevo Laredo, Mexico; one brother, Francisco, Nuevo Laredo, Mexico; and one sister, Mrs. Dave (Maria) Kropf, Estherville.

Preceding him in death were his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Estherville, is in charge of arrangements. Friends may call at the home after 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 28. A rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 27, 1978)
