Estherville – Services for Mrs. Randy (Barb) Quastad, 34, of Estherville, will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Estherville with Father Tom Nash officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery, rural Estherville. She died Tuesday, July 23, 1996 at Holy Family Hospital.

Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. Thursday at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home. Legion of Mary Rosary will be at 4:30 p.m. and Parish Vigil Service at 7 p.m. both Thursday at the funeral home.

She was born September 12, 1961 at Estherville, the daughter of Louis and Shirley (Bonstead) Schacherer. She attended Estherville schools graduating from high school in 1980. She attended Iowa Lakes Community College graduating in 1982. She was united in marriage with Randy Quastad on July 23, 1982 in Estherville. She wormed at the Emmet County Auditor’s office 1983-86. The couple moved to Victorville, Calif. where she worked for Mohave Construction as a bookkeeper. In 1988 they returned to Estherville. She was currently employed at the Auditor’s office. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Estherville.

Survivors include her husband Randy, son Jason and daughter Tara all of Estherville; parents, Louise and Shirley Schacherer of Estherville; sister, Mrs. Tim (Sue) Milner; brothers Dave Schacherer, Streamwood, Ill. and Steve Schacherer, Wallingford; grandfather, Leroy Schacherer, Wallingford; mother and father-in-law, Don and Kathy Quastad of Estherville.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother and maternal grandparents. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 25, 1996)
