Spirit Lake – Services for W.W. (Mike) Levell, 89, of rural Spirit Lake, will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spirit Lake with Father Albert O. Grendler officiating. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery at Estherville. He died Thursday, Aug. 12, 1993 at home at Santa Fe, Mo.

Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville from 4-8 p.m. Sunday. Parish vigil service will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

He was born March 7, 1904 at Vinton, the son of Charles and Clara (Gray) Levell. He attended rural Emmet County Schools. He lived and farmed most of his life northwest of Superior. On June 12, 1927 he was united in marriage with Agnes Feger at Pocahontas. Following retirement he continued to live on the farm. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Spirit Lake.

Survivors include one brother, L.L. (Lum) Levell, of Petersburg, Minn.; many nieces and nephews; a brother-in-law, Carl Feger of Spirit Lake and sister-in-law, Mrs. Walter Feger, of Estherville.

He was preceded in death by his wife Agnes on July 11, 1989; his parents and a sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 14, 1993)
