Estherville – Services for Mary Teresa Foley, 90, Estherville will be held Thursday, March 8, at St. Patrick’s Church, Estherville, with Father Albert O. Grendler officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Recitation of the rosary will be 4:30 and 7 p.m. Wednesday at Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville.

She died Tuesday [March 6, 1979] morning at Rosewood Manor Nursing Home, Estherville.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Garvey, she was born July 4, 1888, at Tward, County Mayo, Ireland. She received her education in Shrule, Ireland, and came to the United States in 1918, living in Louisville, Ky., and later in Chicago, Ill.

April 18, 1923, she was united in marriage with Michael J. Foley in St. Itas Catholic Church, Chicago. The couple moved to Estherville in 1924 where they continued to make their home until the times of their deaths. Mr. Foley died March 25, 1957.

She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Daughters of America and the Altar and Rosary Society.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews in Louisville, Ky.
