Death at 58 for Ingvall
Clarence Ingvall, 58, former resident of the Estherville area, died early Thursday [March 24, 1966] morning in his sleep at his home in Cedar Rapids. Death was attributed to a heart attack.

Clarence William Ingvall was born Jan. 29, 1908, at Graettinger, the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Ingvall. He attended Graettinger schools.

Oct. 22, 1928, he was married to Alma Weber at Estherville. Following their marriage, the couple farmed in the Estherville area until 10 years ago, when they moved to Cedar Rapids.

Since then Mr. Ingvall had been employed by Iowa Manufacturing Co. in Cedar Rapids up to the time of his death.

He was a member of the Christian Church of Estherville.

Mr. Ingvall is survived by his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Everett (Joyce) Hurst of Estherville and Mrs. James (Betty) Merrifield of Des Moines; two sons, Larry in the U.S. Army stationed in Viet Nam, and Richard at home; nine grandchildren; and his father, David Ingvall of Estherville.

Also surviving are his twin brother, Clifford, of Wallingford; a brother, Lloyd, of rural Estherville; seven sisters, Mrs. Eldon Weber of Estherville, Mrs. Mabel Howard of Estherville, Mrs. Herb Hansen of Port Angeles, Wash., Mrs. Donald Meade of Lincoln, Neb., Mrs. William J. Hansen of Ringsted, Mrs. Arnold Tangeman of Dolliver, and Mrs. R.F. DeLoss of Spencer.

Family services will be at the Reese Funeral Home Saturday at 12:30 p.m. followed by public services at 2 p.m. Rev. Howard Wakelin officiating. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home today and until time of services tomorrow.

Mr. Ingvall’s nephews will serve as pallbearers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 25, 1966)
