John Ingvall, 61, Dies; Rites Will Be Tuesday
Spirit Lake – John Clifford Ingvall, 61, died Saturday morning at the Dickinson County Memorial Hospital as a result of an Aug. 10 auto accident 3 ˝ miles east of Spirit Lake on Highway 9.

Born in 1908 at Lost Island to Mr. and Mrs. John D. Ingvall, he received his education in Palo Alto County. He was married to Ethel Pearl Hansen at Wallingford in 1927.

He farmed in the Estherville, Wallingford and Terril areas. Recently he had been operating a fishing and boating resort on High Lake.

He is a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Gruver.

Surviving are Ingvall’s wife, Ethel Pearl; his father, John D. Ingvall of Estherville; three children, John C. Ingvall, Jr., of Spencer, Jerry Ingvall of Spirit Lake and Mrs. Tom (June) Brown of Emmetsburg; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Lloyd Ingvall of Estherville, and seven sisters, Mrs. Herb Hansen, Port Angelo, Wash.; Mrs. Alice Weber, Estherville; Mrs. Don Meade, Fremont, Neb.; Mrs. R.F. DeLoss, Spencer; Mrs. Bill Hansen, Ringsted; and Mrs. Arnold Tangeman, Dolliver.

Ingvall was preceded in death by his mother and one brother.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gruver. Family services will be held at 1:30 p.m., the Rev. Morris Ulring will officiate. Burial will be at the East Side Cemetery in Estherville.
