George Korlaski [Korlaske] Dies
George Korlaski, 63, of Estherville, died yesterday afternoon at the Veteran’s hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D., where he had been a patient for the past two months. His body will be brought to the Sternborg funeral home today. Mr. Korlaski had been in ill health for several years. He operated a radiator shop in Emmetsburg until he moved to Estherville four years ago. Surviving his death are his wife, Marybelle; one daughter, Mrs. Delbert Koaker of Curlow; three foster daughters, Mrs. Sheldon Sifrit of Estherville, Mrs. Donald Young of Ontario, Calif., Mrs. William Darling of Kansas City, Mo.; one grandson, Michael; and two granddaughters, Rae Jean and Mary Jo. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday at the Sternborg funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick’s Catholic church, with full military honors. The Rev. J. H. Duhigg will officiate. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s cemetery. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 22, 1952)
