Sheldon Sifrit’s Rites Tuesday in Estherville
Sheldon Sifrit, Estherville, died at 12:14 a.m. on his 56th birthday, March 25, 1973 in Holy Family Hospital, Estherville. He had been ill with cancer.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Patrick’s Church, Estherville, with Msgr. James H. Duhigg officiating. Burial will be mad in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today (Monday) at Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville.

Mr. Sifrit was born March 25, 1917, in Dodson, Mont., to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sifrit. In his early childhood, the family moved to Butterfield, Minn., then to Estherville when he was about 12 years of age. He had made his home here ever since.

He was married March 11, 1937, to Vera McClain in Estherville. For the past 29 years he was employed at John Morrell and Co., Estherville. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church.

Survivors include his wife, Vera; one daughter, Mrs. Nava (Rae Jean) Ricardo, Estherville; one grandson, Richard; one brother, Joe Sifrit, Estherville; one sister, Mrs. Thelma Rose, Spencer. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
