Estherville – Services for Mrs. Eunice M. Davis, 83, will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Father Thomas Topf officiating; interment will be in the church cemetery. She died Monday, August 6, 1990 at Rosewood Manor Nursing Home.

Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Home from 4-8 p.m. Thursday. Legion of Mary will be at 4 p.m. and Vigil service at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was born Feb. 4, 1907 at Estherville, the daughter of Clinton and Florence (Cook) Swale. She was a graduate of Estherville High School. On Feb. 24, 1927 she married Everett Davis at Estherville. They farmed at Terril until 1946 when they bought the Home Grocery in Estherville; in 1960; purchased a farm at Spirit Lake. After retiring in 1967 they moved back to Estherville. She has been a resident at Rosewood since November, 1967. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church.

Survivors include two sons: Robert of Orange Park, Fla. and William of Worthington; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one brother, Clinton Swale, Hot Springs, Ark.; four sisters: Mrs. Floyd (Florence) Gasper, Monticello, Minn.; Mrs. Vivette Millslagle, Millsap, Tx.; Mrs. Loretta Morse, Golden, Colo. and Mrs. Henry (Mary) Marshall, Washburn.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband who died in 1974. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 8, 1990)
