Estella Hash Dies at 84
Mrs. Estella Alma Hash, 84, of Estherville died yesterday morning, April 19, 1972, at Pocahontas Community Hospital.

She was born Sept. 12, 1887, at Saybrook, Ill., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Wesley Gring. She received her education in Saybrook schools.

On Dec. 22, 1911, she was married to Charles Wesley Hash at Peoria, Ill.

They farmed near Werdman, Ill., until 1922 when they moved to Emmet County and to Estherville in 1946. She lived here until 1967 when she suffered a stroke and became a resident of Sunset Hill Manor at Rolfe. Mr. Hash died Oct. 13, 1955.

Mrs. Hash was a member of United Methodist Church and of Daughters of the American Revolution.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John (Helen) Simpson, Baldwin, Wis., and Mrs. Ray (Frances) Smith of Rolfe; two sons, Harlan of Carmichael, Calif., and Terrance of Estherville; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three sons and a brother.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Fuhrman Funeral Home with the Rev. Warren A. Binz officiating. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Harold, Larry and Jon Simpson, Darrel Hash, Dwayne Terwillieger and James Sandvig.

Honorary pallbearers will be Fred, Wayne and Roger Hash.

Friends may call any time Friday at Fuhrman Funeral Home and until time of services on Saturday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 20, 1972)
