Helen Haines Dies
Funeral services are pending at the Reese-Henry Funeral Home in Estherville for Mrs. Vern (Helen) Haines, 76, who was found dead in her home this morning. She is survived by her husband, and two sons, Orva and Leonard Haines, Estherville, and one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Evelyn) Carlson, Spencer, and six grandchildren. Final Services Conducted for Helen Haines, 76
Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Haines, Estherville, were to be held today at 2 p.m. in the Estherville Lutheran Church. The 76-year-old woman was found dead at her home Friday morning after she had apparently suffered a heart attack.

She was born March 6, 1893, on a farm in Emmet County, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Aanonson. She received her education at country schools in Jack Creek Township.

Married Sept. 10, 1911, to Vern Haines at Estherville, she lived all her life in Emmet County. Her husband was employed by the M. and St. L. Railroad. She was a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband, Vern; one daughter, Mrs. C.R. (Evelyn) Carlson of Spencer; two sons, Orva and Leonard, both of Estherville; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Peter Aanonson of Ringsted, and Halvor Aanonson of Estherville.

The Rev. Stephen I. Engelstad will officiate at the services. Burial will be at Eastside Cemetery in Estherville.
