Harold Elsbury Services Held Today in Estherville
Harold Elsbury, 74, Estherville, who died Aug. 24, 1973, in Holy Family Hospital, Estherville, was buried with funeral services today (Monday).

The Rev. Harold Brown officiated at the services held at 2 p.m. today in Redeemer Lutheran Church. Interment was in East Side Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ralph Bryan, Henry Larson, Don Lundy, Roger Moe, Clifford Saul and Fred Bebernes.

Mr. Elsbury was born March 18, 1899, in Somers, Webster County, to Edward and Florence Elsbury. He was married April 12, 1954, to Marie Wilkens in Sioux Falls. He worked many years for the Arnold’s Motor Supply Co., Sheldon, and later for the Motor Supply of Estherville as a parts salesman, retiring in 1969. He was a longtime flying enthusiast, but was forced to give up flying activities due to a diabetic condition in later years.

He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Estherville, and of its 50-Plus Club.

Surviving him are his wife, Marie; two sons, Ervin and Bernard Elsbury, both of Cherokee; two daughters, Mrs. Gus (Janet) Giese, Sutherland, and Mrs. Wayne (Bonnie) Urban, Lake Mills; two brothers, Robert Elsbury of Mason City, and Kenneth Elsbury, Sutherland; one sister, Mrs. Mabel Leach, Patterson, Calif.; and 12 grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one son, Donald, who died at 15.

Among those attending the funeral for Harold Elsbury Monday were Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Elsbury and family and Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Elsbury, Cherokee; Mr. and Mrs. Gus Giese and family, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Elsbury, Sutherland; Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Urban and family, Lake Mills; Mrs. Bob Elsbury and three sons, Mason City; and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wilkens and sons, Alcester, S.D.
