Arthur Engholm, Brother Local Women Passes
Arthur W. Engholm passed away at his home west of Ringsted, Nov. 5, at 4:30 p.m. after an illness of 4 months. Death was caused by a heart ailment. Mr. Engholm was born at Milwaukee, Wis., Nov. 6, 1886. Two years later the family moved to Ft. Dodge where he attended the parochial school. He moved to Ringsted in 1916 where he lived on a farm until his death. In May, 1912 he was married to Julia Torkelson. Six children were born to this union, Dorothy, dying in infancy. The children are Wilbert, Mrs. Helen Helmers, Florence, Clara and Erwin. Three sisters and three brothers also survive, Mrs. J.L. Cerwick and Mrs. H.W. Cronk of Estherville, Mrs. H. Linnemeyer of Fairmont, Minn., Henry Engholm of Sleepy Eye, Minn., Albert Engholm of Ft. Dodge and Wm. Engholm of Terril.He would have been 48 years of age if he had lived until Nov. 6.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at one o’clock at the home and at two o’clock at the German Lutheran church at Estherville. Rev. Lang will officiate. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, November 6, 1934)

Funeral services for A.W. Engholm, who died at 4:30 p.m. Monday at his home west of Ringsted, were held today from the home at 1 p.m. And at 2 o’clock from the German Lutheran church, the Rev. Otis Lang officiating. Heart disease was given as the cause.He is survived by his widow, five children, Wilbert, Mrs. Helen Helmers, Florence, Clara and Ervin. Arthur Engholm A Victim of Heart Failure
Arthur W. Engholm, for 18 years a farmer and resident of this community, died at 4:30 Monday afternoon at his home 7 miles west of Ringsted after suffering from a heart ailment since July 2. He would have been 48 years old Tuesday.Besides his wife, five children, Wilbert, Mrs. Helen Helmers, Florence, Clara and Ervin, survive him. He also leaves three sisters, Mrs. H.W. Cronk, and Mrs. J.L. Cerwick of Estherville and Mrs. Henry Linnemeyer of Fairmont, and three brothers, Henry of Sleepy Eye, Minn., Albert of Ft. Dodge, and William of Terril.
Mr. Engholm was born in Milwaukee, Wis., in 1886 and two years later moved to Fort Dodge with his parents. In 1912 he married Miss Julia Torkelson and in 1916 the family moved to Ringsted.
