Rufus John Drew
Estherville – Funeral services for Rufus John Drew, 73, Estherville, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Fuhrman Funeral Home with the Rev. Max Goldman of the United Methodist Church officiating and burial at the East Side Cemetery. He died Monday [December 15, 1975] morning at Rosewood Manor.

Mr. Drew was born Nov. 7, 1902, in Bow Bells, N.D., and was educated at Emmetsburg. He was married to Fanshon Hart in Fairmont, Minn., March 6, 1924 and they moved to Emmet County in 1930 where he was employed as a foreman with the highway commission until his retirement in 1969. He was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Estherville; one daughter, Mrs. Louis (Bonita) Lines, Estherville; two granddaughters; two great grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Edith Landstiner, Fairmont, Minn., Mrs. Lillian Vottler, Fenton, and Mrs. Sylvia Perkins, Florence, Colo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Friends may call at the Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville after noon on Tuesday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 15, 1975)
