Rites Held for R.F. DeLoss of Spencer
R.F. DeLoss, 66, Spencer, who owned property in Estherville, was buried at East Side Cemetery after funeral services yesterday at the First Christian Church in Spencer. Rev. David Barnes officiated.

He was hospitalized for five days with a heart condition before his death on Dec. 29, at the Spencer hospital.

Roy Frederick DeLoss was born Dec. 14, 1902, at Sheldon, to Mr. and Mrs. Eugene C. DeLoss. He married Lavon Ingvall Sept. 18, 1937, at Estherville.

DeLoss and his son, Baryy, operated DeLoss Construction at Spencer. He previously owned DeLoss Grocery, which burned several years ago.

Mr. DeLoss devoted considerable time during his life to working with young boys as a coach for basketball and Little League teams.

Survivors include his wife, Lavon; six sons, Barry, Vaughn, Craig, Garry and David of Spencer and Tyrone of Barstow, Calif.; one daughter, Linda, Spencer; one sister, Mrs. Edith Hines, Denver, Colo.; and three grandchildren.
