Cooklin Baby Dies
Services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. in Sternborg Funeral chapel for Gerald Cooklin, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Cooklin of Estherville. The Rev. L.G. Hinderaker of Estherville Lutheran church will officiate at the services with burial at East Side cemetery. Gerald succumbed Saturday evening at Holy Family hospital to a heart ailment. He was born Jan. 28, 1951 [per cemetery records 1950] , in Estherville. There are two other children in the Cooklin family, a brother, Robert and a sister, Marlene. Other survivors include the parents and three grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Cooklin and Edward Kinnard, all of Estherville. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 9, 1951)
