Death Takes Clarence M. Conley, 72
Clarence Marion Conley, 72, former Estherville resident, died about 8:45 p.m. Saturday [November 18, 1967] at the veterans hospital in Iowa City.

He had been ill since August.

He was born April 22, 1895, in Wyoming, Iowa, to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Conley. He was educated in Wyoming schools.

He was married July 25, 1935, to Rhea [Curtis] Noble at Cedar Rapids. He was an employee of the Rock Island Railroad for 37 years, retiring in 1956.

He had come to Estherville in 1939. He was a World War I veteran, a member of VFW, and the Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by two daughters, Ilia Mae Conley and Mrs. Marcus DeLay, Cedar Rapids. Also one step-daughter, Mrs. Clifford Rauhauser, Estherville, and one step-son, Dr. William Noble, Detroit, Mich., and one brother, Albert, Los Angeles, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and one sister.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Reese-Henry Chapel, Rev. C.R. Buckwalter officiating. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery. Military graveside services will be conducted.

Friends may call at Reese-Henry Funeral Home from noon Tuesday until time of service on Wednesday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 20, 1967)
