Clifford Clark Services Held Today in Estherville
Clifford M. Clark, 65, died in the afternoon, Nov. 2, from a heart attack on the Loren Anderson farm, east of Wallingford.Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. today at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. G.O. St. Lawrence officiating. Interment was made in East Side Cemetery.
Mr. Clark was born March 19, 1908, in Chase County, Kan., to Charles and Bertha Talkington Clark. He was educated in Effingham, Kan., schools. On Mar. 13, 1943, he was married in Windom, Minn., to Byrniele Jones. They came to Estherville in 1947 and he worked for Golden Sun for 25 years, retiring last spring.
Mr. Clark was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church, Estherville.
Survivors include his wife, Byrniele; four sons, Kenneth L. Clark, Mesa, Ariz., Donovan E. Clark, Forest City, Robert E. Clark, Gilmore City, and Charles T. Clark, Colorado Springs, Colo.; three daughters, Mrs. Maurice (Barbara) Moffitt, Estherville, Sharon R. Clark, Montevideo, Uraguay, South America, and Mrs. Loren (Linda) Anderson, Wallingford; eight grandchildren, three half-brothers, James Glover, Siren, Wis., Billy Glover, Tempe, Ariz., and Kirk Glover, Portland, Ore.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one half-brother and one sister.
Pallbearers at the funeral were Jack Giles, Simon Frey, Del Rogness, Archie Gemmill, James Dahl and Marvin Moffitt. Reese-Henry Funeral Home, Estherville, was in charge of arrangements. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 5, 1973)
