Harry Christensen Dies; Funeral Set For Monday
Harry Chris Christensen, 66, Estherville, died at 2:15 p.m. Thursday [December 10, 1970] at Holy Family Hospital. He had been hospitalized for the past eight weeks.

He was born Nov. 15, 1904, at Bode to Mr. and Mrs. Jens Christensen. He received his education in the Humboldt County and Emmet County schools.

On Feb. 29, 1937, he was married to Leva Waldee at Renwick. He moved to Emmet County with his parents at the age of 11. He farmed for a number of years with his brother, Roy, and since his marriage had lived on a farm in the Dolliver area.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Leva; two sons, James, Flagstaff, Ariz.; and Dean of Vinton; one daughter, Mrs. Douglas (Sharon) West, Ames; two grandsons and one granddaughter; four brothers, Roy, Edwin, Wesley and Nels, all of Estherville; two sisters, Mrs. Arnold Hoganson, rural Estherville, Mrs. Vernon Jensen, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and his mother, Johannah Christensen, Estherville.

Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, Estherville, with the Rev. Richard Pearson officiating. Burial will be in the East Side Cemetery.

Friends may call at Reese0Henry Funeral Home, Estherville, Saturday after 7 p.m., until noon on Monday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 11, 1970)
