James E. Campbell Taken by Death
James Elliot Campbell, 87, died at the home of his son J.L. Campbell, south Broadway, Emmetsburg, Tuesday [September 30]. Funeral services were held last Thursday afternoon at the home, with Rev. Arthur Schuldt, Methodist minister, officiating. Burial was at Estherville. The Foy Funeral home was in charge.

The wife of the deceased died several years ago. Surviving are three sons, J.L. of Emmetsburg, John T. of Estherville, James E. of Fairmont, Minn., and one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Carey of Estherville. Sincere sympathy is extended to them in the death of their father. (Reporter, Emmetsburg, IA, October 2, 1941)

Mr. and Mrs. John Campbell, Robert and Virginia, Mr. and Mrs. J.K. Carey and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Carey attended the funeral of J.E. Campbell at Emmetsburg, Friday. Mr. Campbell, who is father of John Campbell, step-father of Mrs. J.K. Carey, died Tuesday in the home of his son, Jesse, after a lingering illness.
